Bernard Farrington is an accomplished building enclosure and façade consultant with more than 25 years of experience spanning design consultancy, project management, and construction oversight. He currently serves as Senior Specialist at Oculus Architectural Engineering and as Operations Director of Shelby Wright Test Labs, reflecting his dual expertise in façade design and performance testing.

Bernard is a certified Passive House consultant, demonstrating a strong commitment to high-performance, energy-efficient, and durable building practices. He has been a consistent and passionate advocate for building better in New Zealand, contributing to the advancement of industry standards through rigorous enclosure design, testing, and compliance work.

In his current roles, Bernard works across a broad spectrum of enclosure systems, including walls, roofs, glazing, and airtightness. He supports projects from early design stages through to compliance certification and on-site verification. His approach combines technical rigour with practical experience, ensuring building envelopes perform as intended under real-world conditions.
